The workshop was fantastic! It was a magical day. Kate is so generous with sharing her knowledge and experiences, providing the materials, taking the time, and truly inspiring her students. We did a meditation first to channel the energy, or feelings, as well as the colors we wanted to paint, then applied base layers, had a lovely lunch while the base layer dried, and then returned to add more layers. This was my first workshop in which I actually created a piece that I loved! I was most grateful to be able to ask Kate many questions about art and the creative process and materials as well and thank her so much for sharing her insights! It was the best workshop I’ve ever attended and I recommend it wholeheartedly. Thank you so much dear Kate!

Hi, I’m Kate - a London-based contemporary abstract artist with a background in design and a lifelong sensitivity to sound, colour and emotion.
My paintings are created in response to music, voice and vibration. I use sound as a starting point, allowing rhythm, sensation and energy to guide the colour, movement and atmosphere of each piece.
The result is work that feels immersive and alive - a visual translation of feeling, created to shift the energy of a space and connect with something beyond words.
