The Afterglow Wellbeing Event
RETURN TO YOURSELF
Sunday 13 September, 2–5.30pm
Join us in the gallery for this unique event bringing together breath, sound and creative expression for an afternoon that might just take you somewhere you needed to go.

When did you last give yourself enough space to hear what is happening beneath the noise?
If you spend much of your life thinking, doing, responding and holding everything together, it can become difficult to hear your own inner voice. This immersive afternoon is an invitation to step away from the demands of everyday life and reconnect with the part of you that can easily become buried beneath them.
Held within the paintings and atmosphere of Afterglow, the experience will take you on a carefully guided journey through breath, sound and words.
Book NowYour journey through breath, sound and words
The afternoon has been intentionally created as one continuous journey. Breathwork opens the space. Sound carries you deeper. Writing gives form to what emerges.
Surrounded by paintings created through Kate Mayer’s own immersive relationship with sound, you will be invited to experience creativity not as something reserved for artists, but as a way of listening to and understanding yourself.
You may leave feeling calmer and more connected - or carrying a thought, feeling or truth that had been waiting for enough quiet to be heard.

Adrian Rambla from Reset will lead a deep breathwork session, helping you move out of your busy mind and into a more grounded awareness of your body.

Vocal artist and sound healer Tor will immerse you in a restorative sound bath, creating space for stillness, release and deeper listening.

Poet and performer Elle Dillon-Reams will then guide you through a creative writing workshop. You do not need to consider yourself a writer. This is about letting go of judgement and allowing whatever has surfaced through the afternoon to find its own words.
You will move from breath into sound, and from sound into expression - leaving with more than a temporary sense of calm. You may discover a feeling, thought or truth that has been waiting for enough quiet to be heard.
