Self expression is a beautiful thing, the feeling of connecting to your soul and expressing that is something, I believe, we all need to do in order to be all we can be. In my creative expression workshops you will experience a kind of freedom, and an opportunity to let loose, have fun, even make a mess!... and you'll be very surprised at what an amazing piece of art you create in the process...
Step into a safe space, connect to your soul and let what’s inside flow onto a canvas
This is an opportunity to go on an inner journey. To discover hidden depths, amplify a moment in time, a thought, a feeling or a connection. Connecting into something that is meaningful in itself can be a profound experience, but when you have the opportunity to express and capture that on canvas it becomes something that will last forever.
What to expect
During this unique and spiritual art class, Kate will guide you as you let it all out in a fun and expressive way using paint.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush before, there’s no right or wrong in this workshop, so you are free to get messy, colourful and just have fun with it.
During the workshop, your calming tutor will help you to tune into an inner desire through a relaxing, guided meditation. Enjoy the opportunity to completely switch off from the outside world and reconnect to yourself, whilst you immerse yourself in the process and find your flow state.
By the end of this workshop, you’ll have created a uniquely personal painting to take home and inspire you daily. After the session, you will leave with a sense of calm connectedness, and an amazing piece of art to remind you of your newly discovered happy place.
The Process
Knowledge required
The workshop doesn’t require any prior skills, just an open mind and a desire to explore your creative side!
What you'll get
- All art materials including acrylic paint, inks, gold leaf and canvas.
- Lunch at a local cafe while the paint dries.
- Box for your finished artwork, if it isn't dry on the day Kate will post it to you free of charge.
What to bring
- Come dressed to get messy – paint may not wash out so wear old clothes that are comfortable and you don’t mind messing up!
- If you have any items that inspire you, words, pictures, music, jewellery, photos, or colours, please feel free to bring them along, you may want to incorporate them in some way (this is not essential though!).
Suitable for
Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 12 years old). An adult must accompany any attending kids. The adult may observe at the class for free.

Who is the workshop for?
This self-expression creative workshop is for anyone who wants to explore a connection to their inner being, experience the freedom of self expression and have some fun!
Do I need art skills?
Absolutely not! In fact this workshop if for you if you have no experience in art at all, though if you do have skills you’re still very welcome. This is not about learning how to paint and draw, it’s about learning how to find and express yourself.
Will I need to bring anything?
Before the creative workshop I will ask you to gather anything that you feel you might like to incorporate into your painting. It could be a photo, some written words, an image, or anything else you want. And if you don’t have anything, that’s ok too!
All art materials will be supplied on the day.
Can I take my painting home the same day?
Maybe but probably not! Your artwork may take a couple of days to dry properly and then it may need to be varnished. If so, I will varnish it for you and arrange to either send it or for you to collect it from the studio.
