Created while listening to Sun It Rises by Fleet Foxes, this painting began with the track itself - a piece of music already charged, for the artist, with the memory of hearing it performed live.

During that performance, the stage was flooded with an intense golden light, like the most extraordinary sunrise. The whole experience felt completely immersive: sound, colour, light and emotion arriving at once. It brought the artist into total presence - a moment of awe, gratitude and aliveness that still returns whenever she tunes into the song.
