Created while listening to If You Need To, Keep Time on Me by Fleet Foxes, this painting began with a track that has long held a deep sense of comfort for the artist.

Discovered after the birth of her second son, the song became connected with warmth, tenderness and reassurance. Its rhythm has the feeling of breath - steady, patient and quietly grounding. When played during the painting process, it created a sense of safety: the feeling of being held, without needing to be fixed or rushed.
