'Count Your Blessings' is an original abstract painting by London artist Kate Mayer, inspired by the powerful song of the same name and completed live in the gallery as the London International Gospel Choir sang around her.

Whatever your beliefs, the song speaks to something universal: the wonder of being alive, the beauty of the world around us and the moments of goodness we can so easily overlook. For Kate, it captures the awe and gratitude found when we stop long enough to recognise what is already here.

Painting within the energy of the live choir was one of the most extraordinary experiences of Kate’s life. Their voices, movement and collective emotion flowed directly into every gesture and layer of paint.
